 Nearly 100 years ago, at the dedication of the placement of the ceremonial cornerstone of Chattanooga’s then Municipal Building, Mayor W.R. Crabtree placed several documents inside a hollowed out part of the cornerstone and sealed it. It is believed the documents are still in the cornerstone. On Wednesday, February 7, 2007, the cornerstone was removed and it contents shared with the citizens of Chattanooga.
