 Memorial Hospital celebrates the opening of the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center, Tuesday, February 20, 2007.
A year and a half after local news anchor MaryEllen Locher lost her battle with breast cancer, Memorial Hospital is celebrating MaryEllen's courage and memory by opening the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center Tuesday, February 20, 2007. The center, located at Memorial's main campus provides comprehensive breast health care to one location. The center offers patients convenient access to screening exams, digital breast imaging, team-based treatment planning, a full spectrum of treatment options, and exceptional support services.
Before passing, MaryEllen began the MaryEllen Locher Foundation and the Child of Breast Cancer fund which provides scholarships to children who have lost a parent to breast cancer and to children of breast cancer survivors. Memorial Hospital: www.memorial.org
