Niko’s Southside Grill Celebrates Grand Opening
Great food and a newly renovated interior greeted all those attending Niko’s Southside Grill ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating its opening at 1400 Cowart Street in the old Southside Grill location. The restaurant owners are brothers Teddy and Nick Kyriakidis, who are partners in the Acropolis Four Stars Grill. Teddy Kyriakidis is a graduate of Emory University, while Nick Kyriakidis is a graduate of Washington and Lee University. Officials stated that Niko’s Southside Grill is a contemporary restaurant that offers the best in creative American cuisine, full of bold flavors with international appeal. Niko’s has an expanded appetizer selection from Rock Shrimp to Tortilla Pizza. For the main course, Niko’s features a broad selection of dishes from Grilled White Marble Farms Pork Chops to Sesame Grouper. More than 15 desserts are prepared fresh daily in Niko’s Bakery, making it one of premier restaurants downtown for dessert and coffee. Niko’s also features an outdoor patio serving the full menu. "As the owner of a local restaurant, I appreciate the contribution other locally owned businesses play in Chattanooga’s economy," Nick Kyriakidis said. "Therefore, I use local purveyors such as Stone Cup coffee and Clumpie’s Ice Cream. Supporting local businesses is vital to the development of Chattanooga." Working with local architects and designers, the Kyriakidis brothers created an atmosphere that is bright, energetic and displays local artwork. Niko's has 35 employees. The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, contact Nicholas Kyriakidis at 423-266-6511. |
